Green Rooms: A creatives home away from home
This spring will mark the opening of Green Rooms, a unique not-for-profit arts hotel aimed at talented creatives exploring and working in the wonderful City of London. Situated in a 1920’s restored building in the upcoming eclectic area of Wood Green. Green Rooms will offer an alternative hotel experience, where the artsy individuals amongst us can stay, work and play.
Nick Hartwright, co-founder of The Mill Co. Project is the driving force behind this establishment. His past successes providing creatives with affordable workspaces in and around London has been rightfully recognised and he is now known as one of London's leading social entrepenenurs.
The four-floor hotel will be made up of 22 double rooms, two studios apartments and two dormitory rooms which can sleep up to 12 people. After a long day of working or travelling, guests will be able to sit back and relax in either the lobby or top floor bar which is open to guests and local residents. As this is an arts hotels, all aspects of an artists needs have been covered to the point that are designated spaces within the building which can be used for performances, exhibitons, screenings and rehearsals.
With prices starting at £45.00 per night for a double room, Green Rooms provides its guests with affordable accomodation within London. Partly funded by the Mayor's Office and Haringey Council, the hotel is able to charge such affordable prices without having to compromise on the overall quality.
Green Rooms is "the UK's first hotel social enterprise", be prepared to be inspired and stay in an environment where you can also inspire those around you.
