An award winning restaurant internationally recognised not only for its Michelin star cuisine, but also its elegant decor. Crowned AA Restaurant of the Year in 2014 and GQ’s Best Restaurant Interior in 2015, Berners Tavern never ceases to amaze. Attached to the 5-star boutique hotel, The London Edition; The restaurant is still very much one of London’s most sought after locations and in constant demand, especially for Lunch or Dinner.
Over the years I’ve heard such positive feedback regarding Jason Atherton’s led restaurant and I can’t deny that this made me have rather high expectations. Usually when expectations are that high, dreams can be shattered rather quickly. But not in this instance at all!
Arriving bright and early for an 8am breakfast reservation, I was pleasantly shocked at how well I powered through. That must have had something to do with the gorgeous Blueberry and Banana pancakes that I quickly devoured. Ever so fluffy and oozing with blueberry goodness!
If you are one who likes to admire artwork, you’ll feel as if you were sat in the National Portrait Gallery. No wall remains bare as hundreds of carefully selected oil paintings varying in different sizes and content grace the walls. Berners Tavern offers an exquisite dining experience which cannot be faulted. The food…superb, The staff…so charming and the overall experience; unforgettable!
