If you’re in Rotterdam and you’re searching for the perfect weekend brunching spot look no further. After a few google searches, a number of ridiculously insightful Trip Advisor reviews and an obligatory Instagram stalk I came across Baker and Moore.
The restaurant thrives on the “Create it yourself” concept. A motto that I can totally appreciate as I’m sure we’ve all been in that situation where we’ve popped to our local Pret and wished that there wasn’t a certain ingredient in our sandwich. Well at Baker and Moore that won’t be an issue because you’re picking exactly what you want. On this occasion I was too hungover to use any brain cells, so I just opted for a pre-selected breakfast. Obviously being the die-hard Avo and Sourdough fan that I am it was only right that I settled on the “Ultimate Toast Avocado” option. Two toasted slices of Sourdough Bread topped with Avocado, Spinach, Egg, Lemon and Chilli Flakes…oh and let us not forget the extra portion of Salmon on the side for extra enjoyment! BRB while I sit and dwell on how good it was!
The founders wanted to create a cosy environment in the middle of the hustle and bustle of Rotterdam and I think they’ve managed to hit the nail on the head. You feel at home, the décor is amazing, the food is undeniably delicious and it’s super child friendly.
I would happily recommend Baker and Moore as it’s a Rotterdam hotspot that the entire family can enjoy. It is quite popular so do bear in mind that there can be a potential of waiting a while to be seated. However, I can say we were pretty lucky and managed to be seated within five minutes.
